Corrections Policy
Help improve a question.
Use \u201cReport question\u201d during practice or the Contact page. Please identify the question and explain the concern.
Policy updated 5 October 2026What to include
Provide the question ID or enough of the stem to identify it, the disputed answer or explanation, and a current primary reference if available.
Useful categories include an incorrect key, ambiguous wording, outdated guidance, explanation conflicts, formatting errors and rights concerns. Do not include patient-identifying information.
What happens next
Reports are stored privately for administrator review. Repeated reports from the same account for the same question and reason are grouped.
Reviewers assess severity and evidence before changing medical content. A dangerous or clearly incorrect item may be made unavailable while its record and history are retained.
Updates and accountability
A correction may change the explanation, answer key, reference or classification. Historical attempts are retained rather than erased to disguise a problem.
Submission confirms receipt, not acceptance of a proposed correction. No response deadline or completed review is promised before an administrator has assessed the report.
